Between Jerez and Marbella, almost at the tip of the Iberian peninsula, lies one of Europe’s most exclusive golfing Country Clubs. Here, in the foothills of the Sierra Bermeja, the peace and natural beauty of Andalucia is complemented by a stylish retreat and two 18-hole championship golf courses are enhanced by a friendly atmosphere: welcome to The San Roque Club.
The New Course, designed by Perry Dye with the collaboration of Severiano Ballesteros, has all the conditions to be part of the elite of European golf for its high technical quality, its beautiful layout and impeccable finish. It was the scene of the 2006 Spanish Open, won by Niclas Fasth, and also hosted the final of the European tour’s classification school. Undoubtedly, it is a course that is far above what we usually find in Spain and Europe, without any construction around it and, ultimately, a challenge and an exceptional golf course.
